Terms of Service
Operated by Heron Networks LLC ("we", "us"), a Virginia limited liability company.
What we do
We provide low-voltage installation labor for a flat fee of $400: setting a post where a position needs one, running and terminating Ethernet/PoE control wiring, mounting a customer-supplied battery buffer, and connecting a customer-supplied gate-automation interface. The fee is a single line item for labor and covers no materials. We do not sell, supply, or mark up hardware. You buy every part directly from the retailer links we provide; we never take title to or possession of your hardware for resale.
Deposit and refunds
See Deposit Terms for the full refund rule. In short: the $400 is collected as a refundable deposit once your job is vetted and scheduled, and is refunded in full if we cancel or if you cancel before the scheduled install date.
Scope and vetting
Every job is vetted against technical scope only -- cable run distance, line-of-sight, and job complexity. We do not consider any personal characteristic of a customer in vetting. A human always reviews and may override an automatic scope decision.
Scope of work: exterior and accessible-only
All work happens outside the home and at points reachable without entering a finished interior space. We do not enter attics or crawlspaces, and we do not open, wire into, or otherwise touch your home's high-voltage/mains electrical, beyond plugging in a low-voltage adapter.
Before any post hole is dug or trenching is done, we contact Virginia 811 to have underground utility lines marked at the site. That call is free, required by Virginia law, and ours to make.
What we do not do
We perform no line-voltage electrical work. We install no cameras or surveillance equipment, and mounting, aiming or commissioning camera equipment is not part of any job booked here. We do not install, service, rekey, or otherwise touch locks, deadbolts, electric strikes, maglocks, or keypad/access-control entry hardware -- that is locksmith work under Virginia law and is not a service we offer. We do not service gate operators for safety compliance (UL 325) beyond the low-voltage control wiring we install -- the gate operator itself remains the responsibility of its installer/manufacturer. We do no attic, crawlspace, masonry, or structural work, and produce no stamped drawings.
Camera work is not part of any job booked here right now. The Virginia DCJS Electronic Security Business certification is in progress; this notice changes the day it is issued.
No video feeds are offered or installed today.
